CAJ 013-Dottye Stewart

Meeting Facts:

  • Speaker: Dottye Stewart

  • Topic: Agile Acoustic Set

  • Date: 7/19/17

  • Limitations: First 50 people

  • Description:

CAJ is going to host a different kind of meetup. We're calling it an Agile Acoustic Set. We will take 50 min with agilist Dottye Stewart to discuss her agile journey, the ups, downs, and lessons learned. Dottye believes that she “has always been a scrum master.” Only recently has she discovered its existence as a framework. This will be a casual session, and as such will be much more interactive. If you are going to join, please be sure to join from somewhere you can add to the conversation through questions and topics. Registration will be limited to the first 50 participants to maintain the intimate nature of the interactions.

  • Bio:

Dottye Stewart is an enthusiastic Agilist and Scrum Master extraordinaire. She works on her craft through continuous learning, involvement in the local community, and most importantly being curious and connected with the people on her teams.

She is currently the Scrum Master for two teams at Pharmerica, a national provider of long term care pharmacy services delivering more than 30 million prescriptions a year to nursing facility customers nationwide. Her teams are Agile and working to deliver innovative solutions in a complex and rapidly changing environment.

Her career has had its up and downs and required an Agile mindset and the enthusiasm to change. Over the past eight months, Dottye has reinvented herself. She has gone from a traditional corporate position to Professional Scrum Master (PSM).

Dottye is a member of the Agile Alliance and the Tampa Bay Agile. Besides being an outgoing people person, she is a mother, grandmother, traveler, concert enthusiast, and aspiring banjo player. She was recently honored for Mother's Day in a blog written by her daughter, Stephanie Davis (iamagile.com), titled “My Mom, the Scrum Master”…it doesn’t get better than that.
